So, you fancy learning how to save a life, or at least keep someone's grey matter from doing a U turn. Turns out, in Australia, a stroke pops up every 19 minutes. That is quicker than boiling the kettle for a cuppa, is not it. In 2020 alone, over 27,000 Aussies, from kids to grandmas, found themselves in that boat for the first time. But hold your horses, the good news is that a whopping 80 percent of strokes are apparently just being dramatic and could have been prevented.
To help you get your head around all this, Pia from StrokeSafe is making an appearance. She will be dishing out the intel on how to spot the sneaky signs of a stroke, what to do when things go a bit wobbly in an emergency, and some straightforward tips to lower your own risk of joining the stroke club. It is a freebie event, so no need to open the wallet, but if you are planning to swing by, a quick heads up by booking would be appreciated.
