Swing by the Bunbury Museum and Heritage Centre on Saturday, 14 June, where we're throwing open the doors to a brand-new exhibition, Stories of Carey Park. This showcase takes a fond stroll down memory lane, celebrating the good ol' days of fibrous homes, backyard cricket matches worthy of a Sports Illustrated cover, and rivalries that could fuel a soap opera. Carey's been rolling along in its own charming way, and it's time to honour the quirks and tales of this beloved suburb.
Join us at our school fete-themed shindig, where you can reminisce over vintage games, enjoy some tunes, and indulge in baked treats that are definitely not low calorie. Mayor Jaysen de San Miguel will kick things off with an official opening, but the real fun is catching up with folks from all over town — you might even run into that one neighbour who always borrowed your lawnmower. The event runs from 1pm to 3pm, and while it's all free and open to everyone, we'd love it if you let us know you're coming so we can bake enough scones for the lot of you.
