Head over to the Bunbury Public Library at 2 Parkfield Street in Bunbury, Western Australia, for STEAM Discoverers, a laid-back after-school session for kids aged eight to fifteen. Its basically a chance for them to tinker in the Makerspace with hands-on stuff blending science, technology, engineering, art, and maths, without any of the classroom drudgery. Think of it as a weekly playground where young minds can mess around with experiments that might just spark the next big idea, or at least keep the little ones entertained after school.

Running every Thursday from 6 November to 27 November 2025, between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm, each session zeros in on a different STEAM angle, like stacking Lego into wobbly bridges that could topple any minute, crafting capsules tough enough to survive a drop test without turning into scrambled eggs, or racing to build the skinniest skyscraper that doesnt quite reach the ceiling. Its all free, no need to book ahead, so just show up and let the chaos unfold.
