Head to Sorrento Beach this November to catch all the action of one of Australia's biggest ocean-sport festivals. Shaw and Partners WA Race Week brings the world's best ocean paddlers to Perth for an exciting week of racing, community events and coastal celebration. And spectators can enjoy every moment for free.

Set along the stunning northern beaches of Perth, WA Race Week showcases elite international athletes, local talent, and a packed program of exciting events. Whether you're a paddling enthusiast or simply love the WA coastline, this is a unique chance to watch world-class competition unfold from the sand at Sorrento.

Throughout the week, visitors can enjoy a range of festivities, from the Race One Nipper Clinic, where young up-and-coming athletes rub shoulders with the world's best, to twilight sprint races and beachside celebrations. Everything builds toward the grand finale: the legendary Shaw and Partners Doctor, a 27km ocean race from Rottnest Island to Sorrento Beach that attracts the world’s fastest surf ski paddlers.

With over $300,000 in cash and prizes, the event also draws some of the biggest names in ocean sport - world champions, Olympic medallists, and elite Ironmen and Ironwomen. Spectators can expect to see superstar athletes such as:
• Ali Day (NSW) - Ten-time Coolangatta Gold Champion; world and Australian Ironman champion
• Jemma Smith (NSW) - Reigning Doctor Champion; 2024 Coolangatta Gold winner
• Cory Hill (QLD) - Four-time World Surf Ski Champion; four-time Molokai champion; four-time Doctor winner
• Kira Bester (South Africa) - Current Women’s World Ocean Paddling Champion
• Hank McGregor (South Africa) - Ten-time World Marathon Kayak Champion
• Danielle Richards (NZ) - Former Ironwoman champion; multiple global ocean race wins
• Nick Notten (South Africa) - World Surf Ski Champion
• Riley Fitzsimmons (NSW) - Olympic silver medallist (K4 kayak)

These elite athletes - alongside hundreds of competitors from Australia and around the world - will descend on Perth for what is widely recognised as the biggest ocean paddling week in the country.
