Join Barking Gecko Theatre for a 4-day workshop full of fun and creativity as we head out on the road with the Barking Gecko Road Co. presenting The New News!

It’s time for a news revolution and the children are leading the way. Out with the old and in with the new! Tune into new age journalism where the children decide what makes the daily headlines and how we see it. It’s radical journalism from the world’s newest news makers and news breakers!

Participants will explore how we might see the world differently if children’s perspectives were front and centre and their wide-eyed realism was given the potential to examine and report stories and events in a way like no-other!

Exploring improvisation and devising, young creatives will develop their own characters, learn performance and theatre making skills while building their storytelling techniques. Participants will share their creative discoveries with an informal showing for family and friends on the final day.

COST $275 per participant
AGES: 8 – 12 Years

When: Monday 10th July to Thursday 13th July 2023 | 9:30am - 3:30pm daily
