Deb Jordan, a woman who has apparently lived enough lives for a whole book series, is popping into the Bunbury Library. We are talking pianist, teacher, and someone who has clearly got a knack for finding adventure, from sidestepping kidnappers in Peru (seriously) to belting out tunes for presidents in Africa. Most people just collect fridge magnets from their travels, but Deb has gone and written a novel.

Her debut, The River Whispers, sounds like it is straight out of WA's vineyard country, but with a bit more drama than your average wine tasting. Expect a good dose of suspense, some shattered friendships, a body in a river, and secrets that probably should have stayed buried. Poor Sasha has a killer on the loose and a past to sort out, which sounds like a rough day. Good news is, hearing about all this excitement will not cost you a cent. It is a freebie, but with limited spots, so if you are keen, probably best to book a seat.
