Working with Mossenson Galleries Subiaco, BRAG is excited to be able to exhibit .

In 2018 Jordan tested new techniques on paper and explored the possibilities that this medium could bring to his practice.

His work has always overlayed one reality on another conflicting reality seeking to produce a new unity out of this conflict. This plus the artist’s early fascination with mythology of Daedalus and the Maze eventually led him to the idea of a series of twenty-four paintings, each work taking the anglicised name of a letter from the ancient Greek alphabet and from these letter shapes producing an abstract composition.

Jordan decided that the series should explore and revisit every technique and colour variation used in his work since his first exhibition at Sydney's Watters Gallery in 1966.

The result is the called The Greek Paintings.

The Greek Paintings will be on display at BRAG form 24 June to 17 September 2023. This will be the first time this body of works will be on show.

The Gallery is open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm. Entry is always free.
