If you have ever looked at a boring window and thought, "That pane could really use some artistic flair," then this is the event for you. Or for your child, because it is aimed at kids aged five and over. The Bunbury Public Library is hosting a paper window art session where you can cut, stick, and generally dazzle a piece of frosted paper into something that looks like a sunset, a bird, a flower, or a butterfly. If you prefer a design that is a bit more abstract, like a blob that might be a sheep if you squint, that is fine too. The whole thing is free, but they insist you book a spot because they need to know how many pairs of tiny scissors to have on hand.
It happens on Friday the 10th of July 2026 from half past ten until half past eleven in the morning. The venue is the Bunbury Public Library at 2 Parkfield Street, which is a building that already has plenty of windows, so you can see your creation right where it belongs. The activity is described as mess free, which is code for "you will not need to repaint the kitchen afterwards." It is also good for fine motor skills and creativity, but really it is just a cheerful way to spend an hour making something that makes a plain window look like it has a personality of its own.
